Featured Artist: Sebasebi

SebaSebi’s visions open the door to a dream-like place where anything is possible. The beautifully detailed designs are a perfect escape into a world where your subconscious becomes a reality. SebaSebi jokes that he likes “tranquility and simple things, and ice-cream” yet his designs are able to push his audiences beyond anything considered “simple” and they offer an uncanny and complex message.

 The Argentinian artist shares that he recently moved to Nice, France and “for the moment I’ll stay here.”

His greatest struggle in the creative process is in trying to communicate an idea and “develop it and transform it into an art work”. Nevertheless, there is “nothing more beautiful” than overcoming the obstacle and finding the right way to convey his message. He shares that if his art’s message had a taste it would most certainly be “lemon pie, sweet but a little sour/acid.”

 SebaSebi is proud that he can make a “living from what I love to do” because it gives him the flexibility to live his life exactly how he’d like. In fact, he even confesses that it is difficult for him to balance his creative endeavors with his personal life because he’s always thinking about his next piece of art and “it's impossible not to think” about creating. He loves all creative pursuits and —  besides his digital art — he is also interested in jewelry making, screen printing, and “anything that has a creative process.”

 SebaSebi recognizes that it can be difficult to know when an artistic piece is “complete.” However, he recommends that sometimes you just have to trust your gut and move on from the art piece or — like him — let the “art work leave me.”
