PentoolKnight, or Ariev, is from Semarang in the Central Java province of Indonesia. He shares, “I love playing with lines” and that his work is predominately what he would call “doodle illustration.” The bold lines, bright colors, and comical scenes are his attempt to always “create something new” and build a style that everyone can love and find joy in exploring together.

He admits that selling his designs on DBH “feels different” because having his art appreciated by other artists is the highest compliment that he can receive from his community. He is incredibly proud of the designs that he has featured on his DBH Store; passion and focus help him create the perfect designs to sell. PentoolKnight recognizes that art can be a difficult road. However, he encourages other artists to “just keep practicing” and never give up on “learning something new.”
