Nadia Ham is a 38-year-old Architect from Mexico City who shares that her art has been a “journey of a few years.” She began experimenting while still in architecture school, but it wasn’t until the arrival of COVID and the lockdown that she found the time to start practicing again. She finds inspiration for her colored pencil drawings and watercolors from nature, travel, and the people around her.
Today, she loves drawing “animals and flowers” and admits that she likes to “emphasize the details I find more interesting, so they really catch your attention.” However, she is also always trying new techniques and believes that “learning new styles and workflows from other artists is what keeps you motivated.” She thinks that creativity is a personal thing and “there's no formulas, you just need to explore and do what feels right and create things that inspire you.”
She confesses that one of her biggest struggles is “promoting myself in social” and that because she has limited time, she prefers focusing on creating new art instead of marketing herself or uploading designs to her social media. Still, she understands that “it's important to find the right balance” and so she is trying to find the time to share her designs as well. In fact, one of her goals for the future is to design a website for her art and eventually open an art exhibit for her community. Check out Nadia Ham’s delightful store today!
