Put A Bird On It!
Ever since Portlandia aired their "Put A Bird On It" featurette, the web, fashion, and design worlds have gone crazy with bird designs. Everything from menacing ravens and crows to adorable little sparrows have been popping up on t shirt designs everywhere. From dark art horror designs to detailed nature designs, bird tees show off a wide variety of artistic styles that audiences love to rock on their chest.

Once upon a midnight dreary'¦ lies the raven in the ravine. This dark, creepy raven tee was created in honor of Edgar Allen Poe's poem "The Raven", which we think is incredibly suiting. Is there a murder in our midst? This dark art design features a menacing crow in front of red, glowing background. This creepy illustration gives off a silhouette-like effect that shows off details in the crow's feathers, as well as a flock flying into the background.

This eagle design gives off a patriotic feeling with his aviator sunglasses and flying headgear. The detail in this illustrative work is impressive and really shows the structure of the bird while the red, white and blue coloring send a strong message. New design "Birds of a Feather" by radiomode features four colorful, exotic birds flying together. The birds were created using complementary colors, red-orange and teal. The shirt design also has painted, vector effects. This abstract bird design also features watercolor effects and sketchy, illustrative lines around the outsides of the bird's wings.

This illustrative bird tee brings us back to nature. The unique details that mix knowledge and nature together are intriguing and the small sparrow adds a cute animal element. This design utilizes bright oranges and yellow in the flower petals that compliment the textured, yet subtle blue background.

This design lines up some beautiful dreamcatchers that create a cool, feathered owl.
