TimPirozhkov98’s artwork conjures feelings of both terror and awe. Although his designs offer a glimpse of the grotesque, his audience cannot help but lovingly study the grinning skulls, the drooling zombies, or the warlike cyborgs because each superb detail makes even the most nightmarish graphic into something beautiful.
Tim, from Revda in Russia, shares that although he has "been drawing with pencil all my life” he never thought of himself as an artist until quite recently when he began to experiment with digital art. He thought, “maybe I could make a living doing this” and he has been pursuing art ever since.
He even found freelance work with clients like a Canadian heavy metal band and a video game company. He jokes that he “cannot live without” his graphic tablet now.
He confesses that he collects “junk” or “stuff some people may find odd” — like a bird’s skull — because these things can motivate him to create an unexpected piece of art. However, his greatest inspiration comes from movies with “space or futuristic themes” and it plays a guiding role in shaping his style.
TimPirozhkov98 is also interested in renowned artists like Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci. In fact, “da Vinci was the first artist who brought me the desire to study anatomy and draw it.”
Tim admits that he doesn’t often show his work before it is completed because he must first “add corrections, 1000 alterations” and even then he may choose not to share it. Nonetheless, Tim hopes that someday he will be able to work on creating art for video game companies. He plans to study “futuristic/concept character drawings” because he understands that you must always keep improving and that he cannot “stop learning” if he wants to follow his dreams.
