Baby Yoda is Life. Here’s Why…
Baby Yoda represents all that is good in the world. He is a manifestation of the warm sun on your face after a rainstorm, a cup of hot cocoa after a cold trek in the snow, and a hug from a doting grandmother after a bad day.

Whether or not you agree with The Mandalorian theory that Baby Yoda is a clone created in a laboratory (was he cloned from Yoda himself or some Yoda-like creature…), we can all agree that he was built in Disney’s laboratory to achieve maximum cuteness. The large bat ears, tiny button nose, peach fuzz head, and his “aw” inducing noises are enough to make even a cold-hearted bounty hunter fall in love. We’re right there with you, Mando. We’ll fight that angry Mud Horn rhino with our bare hands to save Yodito if we have to!
Baby Yoda shuffled into our lives and we’ll never be the same again. Not only are we scientifically programmed to love Baby Yoda — with his baby-like round head and big eyes — but he’s also undeniably perfect because he does all the cute baby things… without any of the gross bits. We may not be ready for a crying drooling baby in our lives, but we won’t say no to a cooing Baby Yoda if you’ve got one. Just look at those dinosaur paws!
Similarly, Baby Yoda never speaks; he can be everything and anything we want him to be and so much more. Baby Yoda will never say anything annoying or offensive; he’ll never call us fat or declare that all Ewoks are stupid and should get stuck up in a tree. He’s a clean slate and, therefore, perfect in every way.
2) He’s Just Like Us
Look at him sipping his little cup of bone broth! OMG, now he’s eating a little frog snack too. Aw, and now he needs a nap. Wait… we like sipping hot beverages. We like eating snacks. AND, we love naps too! Gasp, he’s just like us!
Every Baby Yoda meme floating around the internet is the perfect example of how we all see ourselves in The Child. Whether he’s enjoying a hot beverage, or just playing with buttons on a dashboard, Baby Yoda speaks to our inner child.
Plus, there’s no telling Baby Yoda what to do. Baby Yoda does what he wants. Just try telling him to stay behind on the spaceship; he’ll follow you out on the adventure either way. So, sometimes we all need to be a little more like Baby Yoda. If someone puts their finger in your face… just bite it. 3) He’s Real!
Okay, we know that Baby Yoda is not a real person or a real creature who we may run into on the street. Nevertheless, he is a real puppet and that somehow makes him feel like a friend just around the corner. He’s more than just a computer-animated character that is beyond our reach.
Just knowing that at this very moment his adorable peach fuzz head is napping in a Disney studio somewhere fills us with a warm glow. The world may not always be a happy place, but just knowing that there’s a Baby Yoda out there makes it all seem okay.
4) He’s a Unifying Force
Baby Yoda is Force-sensitive. In fact, we’ve only just seen a glimmer of the tricks he has up his adorable potato sack sleeve. He can heal injuries, make giant rhinos float, and choke any of the bad guys for us.
However, his true power comes in his ability to unify fans across the globe. Whether you’re a hardcore fan of the original trilogy and you’re feeling a little nostalgic for the real Yoda, or you’re on team Jar Jar Binks all the way, Star Wars fans and non-fans alike are united in their love of Baby Yoda.
