Robotface’s artwork – with its bright colors, positive messages, and sense of pure unadulterated joy – is almost like stepping inside a rainbow. The designs range from a multicolored sloth to a vibrant pineapple and each will be sure to make your day just a little bit brighter. One of Robotface’s main objectives – a simple yet powerful one – is to create colorful art that looks “cute on my little ones” and will also bring joy to audiences.
Robotface, or Hayes, is inspired by “street art, Japan, hip hop, DJing, cats, sloths and outer space.” The diverse themes also allow for a "mash up [of] multiple interests in a single design.” Hayes believes art is about combining multiple ideas that will, in turn, inspire multiple people.
Hayes also enjoys keeping up with what people are wearing and following society’s fashion trends. In fact, there is a magical computer folder entitled “shirt ideas” where Hayes keeps track of inspiration for future designs.
Robotface understands that finding time to create art can be difficult and that “inspiration also ebbs and flows.” Hayes advocates that every artist must find time to relax and learn to appreciate the “collecting ideas” step of the creating process, without the pressure or stress of finishing a piece.
Robotface is inspired by other artists and sometimes even questions, “How did they do that?” The desire to try new things pushes Hayes to evolve. Robotface encourages other artists to “put in the work and give yourself time for your personal style to evolve.”
