Featured Artist: Winterglaze

Feel the snow on your face as you set out into untouched nature with Featured Artist, Winterglaze! Her warm watercolor-style reveals stunning scenes that remind us to appreciate the elusive beauty of nature. Winterglaze asks her audience to reconnect with the beauty and wildlife that is hiding just beyond our view.

Winterglaze, or Tyne Bobier, is a 35-year-old artist and “a proud Filipina from the far island of Palawan in the Philippines.” Her love of nature and gardening is not only a reprieve from life’s stresses, but it is also the main source of inspiration for her art.

In fact, she even considers that her art really belongs to nature and that she simply helps bring “nature’s playful and whimsical illustrations” to life for others. She believes that growing up in the lush province of Palawan not only allowed her to be “close to nature”, but also led to her life as an artist. She hopes that her art will “promote environmental awareness to a lot of people and help them appreciate the wonders of nature.”

Although Tyne focuses primarily on sharing the natural world in her art, she’s also an avid DBH FanShop participant and a proud creator of several officially licensed designs for brands like Star Trek, DC Comics, NASA, and Assassin’s Creed. She believes that creativity is “something magical within you” and it is the job of the artist to share that magic with others. She appreciates the ability to showcase her work and connect with other artists through platforms like DBH.

Still, she jokes that “mood swings” can affect her ability to pursue a creative project. However, she knows that she must simply “go with the flow whenever my mood takes me.” She encourages other artists to similarly “go with the flow” and keep creating because there are new things to discover every day.
